Scuba Diving on Koh Kood Island - Thailand’s best kept secret
Set on the beautiful shores of Bang Bao Beach, Koh Kood Divers was founded by Bob and his son Jessie, who have both lived in Thailand and worked in the diving industry for many years. Koh Kood Divers offers a wide range of diving courses to suit every level of experience. Whether you are just here for a few days and want to see what all the fuss is about, become certified as an Open Water Diver or continue your dive education to a higher level, there are a number of options to choose from.
These courses are also available in a number of languages. They offer courses in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Thai. At Koh Kood Divers they also take into account that you are on holiday! So courses can be flexible in terms of fitting them around your schedule. Study can be made in your own time at your resort, if that suits, or if you want to take a little longer to complete your training, that’s fine too. Their services now include: Diving for Kids, Scuba Diving, OWD, EFR + Rescue Diver Course and Divemaster Course. Experience is the key here. Each one of their team has 1000+ dives, a wealth of underwater knowledge and experience in diving in a number of locations around the world.
How to get there
To get to Koh Kood, you first need to travel eastbound to Trat (TRAD), the closest town to our ferry and speedboat piers. Trat is the easternmost province of Thailand, very close to the Cambodian border and about 315 km from Bangkok. This is the jumping-off point to the islands of Koh Chang, Koh Maak and Koh Kood. So we recommend you take an Air-Conditioned bus or the mini van from from either Ekkemai or Morchit Station in Bangkok to TRAT BUS TERMINAL. The journey takes around 5 hours. Alternatively, if you want to take a bus directly from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, there is a company who offer Air-Con and Mini Buses to Trat Bus Terminal. It takes around 4 hours and costs 250 THB. Buses leave from the Airports 1st floor, Gate 8 at 7.40AM, and 11AM.
