Leo Morales to Attempt Deep Diving World Record in 2016
“This second dive was different. I could float weightless in the water and the loss of my leg was no longer a problem. I didn’t feel the weight of the world. I was free and had a purpose again. I found a place where I was no longer disabled,” Leo Morales states on his website.
For most people, being able to dive would be satisfying enough but not Leo. In December 2012, he set a new Guinness World Record for Deep Diving for people with disabilities by reaching a depth of 410 feet underwater in 13 minutes! When you start doing it, you keep on pushing. Leo has recently announced he plans a new world record attempt in 2016.His forthcoming world record attempt is scheduled for Dahab, Egypt in July next year. Fingers crossed Leo!
