XMTB McConvey Cycles are a Mountain Bike Racing Club who have been organising and winning races for years, with a broad range of abilities and interests covering all age groups and both genders. They are responsible for organising a Spring League at the beginning of the year and a number of rounds of the Ulster and Irish Racing series as well as a round of the Ulster Cyclocross Series for good measure. A lot of their effort is channelled into developing youth and throughout the year organizing day-trips and training days which comes to fruition in the yield of trophies they take home at the end of the year.
The club has produced some of the most successful riders in Ireland, with two professional riders, two British Championship runners-up and several Ulster and Irish Champions. But it’s not all work and no play…
Two organised club runs take place during the week (all age groups catered for), a club outing several times-a-year and a Club night at the beginning of the calendar to welcome new members into the team. They organize club trips to Europe for racing and weekends at trail centres.
