The fourth event of the Czech Downtown Tour, about a thousand spectators, around a hundred riders, the most technical track in the Czech Republic. That is the second year of the Dačice downtown race in short.
This year, there will be a few changes to the 500 metres long track between the Renaissance architecture style St Lawrence Church tower and the railway bridge underpass called known as “a mousehole”. The attraction looked forward to with the greatest expectations is the jump over a sprinkling fountain in one of the squares. Other wonderful innovations will be kept under wraps until September 2.
For those who do not manage to apply for the race in time on czechdt.cz, registration will be open on Saturday from 9 AM to 11 AM at the starting point of the track. Registration on spot costs CZK 400, registration online is CZK 300. All competitors will be asked to choose their category (full suspension, hardtail, women). At 11 AM, the training starts. At 1 PM, the track will close and the opening ceremony starts in square Dolní náměstí. One half an hour later, at 1.30 PM, the first round starts. After the first round, there will be a short break including a trial bike show. Then the final round starts. At about 5 PM, the fastest rider will be announced and from 7 PM on, there will be a punk afterparty at Restart club and an electro swing arty at StreetClub.
