Have you ever enjoyed a base jump right from the jaguar's head? What is not, can easily become a reality in the heart of Espirito Santo (ES) province in Brazil. Pedra da Onca (Jaguar Rock) is an adornment of the Serra do Caparao mountain range spreading across borders of ES and Minas Gerais. As seen from the pictures, the rock really resembles the back and head of a big sitting cat. And just at the point that can match the cat's nose you can calmly spread your wings-uites.

Whether it is from any of the cities of Vitoria (ES capital), Guarapari or Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, the place is somewhat less accessible - the only carriage option is a rented car. On the other hand, when you get there you will find yourself in a peaceful Brazilian highlands aside from the rush of the coast and harbours. Pedra da Onca therefore provides an ideal deserted training stadium out of reach of authorities and protective forces.

Landing farmland area - long enough plains
The way to the mountain area is about 7 km. From the center of the Castelo city go towards the Fazenda das Flores (Farm of the Flowers) and soon after passing it follow to Monte Pio. From this point you may circle the mountain or turn right towards the Jaguar Rock and try to park your car as close as possible (deal with local farmers). The way up the rock itself is steep hot and tough.
