TUCK FEST 2015: An Outdoor Festival to Remember
Tuck Fest is a three-day festival that celebrates the outdoor lifestyle through competitions, exhibitions, demos and live music at the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC), dedicated to the promotion of the active, outdoor lifestyle. Since 2006, the USNWC’s 700 acres offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for all ages and skill levels. Guests can enjoy whitewater rafting and kayaking, flatwater kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, zip lines, ropes courses, a canopy tour, and mountain biking on a 25+ mile trail system.
The festival features a variety of outdoor sport competitions that also include trail running, slacklining, and even adventure racing. The name “Tuck Fest” comes from the Tuckaseegee Ford and Trail, a historical landmark located at the USNWC.
New to trail running? Challenge yourself with the 5k Trail Race. Enjoy stand-up paddleboarding? Take it to the next level with the Flatwater SUP Race, one of the premier SUP events in the world. Tuck Fest is rooted in the overall outdoor experience, giving guests of any age or skill level the opportunity to try something new. It’s about getting outside and enjoying our natural surroundings by jumping in on a competition or simply enjoying the music and atmosphere.
