The new season of Freeride World Tour arrives with three confirmed stops
48 athletes, in four categories – 7 snowboard women, 9 snowboard men, 8 ski women and 24 ski men – will fight to lift the trophy as the FWT champion. But with a highly diverse field from all over the globe this won’t be an easy feat. Last year’s world champions – Marion Haerty (FRA-snowboard), Nils Mindnich (USA-snowboard), Arianna Tricomi (ITA-ski) and Isaac Freeland (USA-ski) – will not be ready to let go of the sport’s most valuable prize.
Due to the latest travel restrictions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Freeride World Tour (FWT), in collaboration with local organisations, has decided to cancel the FWT 2021 events in Japan and Canada. The FWT is currently in discussion with several resorts to replace the cancelled events. Nonetheless, the Freeride World Tour will host three events in Andorra (22. - 27. February), in Fieberbrunn (06. - 12. March) and in Verbier (20. - 28. March).
With the 2* FWT Qualifier and the 2* FWT Junior Stop as well as the Freeride Junior World Championships, KAPPL/PAZNAUN the OPEN FACES Freeride. Series 2024 is starting from 19th Jan on!
