Hills around Gerardmer, Oderen and Le Markstein - Paragliding North-Eastern France
Cumulus Parapente is a paragliding school located in Gerardmer in the lakes valley, one of the most popular places in Vosges Mountains, and Oderen, the "Mecca" of paragliding in north east of France. While Gerardmer is a commune in the Vosges department, Oderen belongs to the Haut-Rhin department. Anyway, you will fly here over rounded and grassy mountains with smooth curves perfectly shaped for learning and training. For paragliding, most hills located in the heart of the Higher-Vosges reach the height between 1000 meters and 1400 meters above sea level (Le Grand Ballon 1424m the highest peak) and offer the vertical flights of around 500-700 meters.
Cumulus Parapente was established in 1993 to offer high quality Paragliding courses in a friendly atmosphere. They are a fully experienced and qualified team and they will gladly share with you their experience. They have been doing this job for over fifteen years and they each have over twenty years of experience in flying.
