Soaring Mount Klementieva - Koktebel - Paragliding in Crimea, Ukraine
Not standing out in the landscape at first glance, Mount Klementieva or Uzun Syrt Range is a unique creation of nature. It is perfectly shaped, with the ridge slightly curved and with the wind rising along her profile from Crimea foothills, creating special aerodynamicis all year round. With the sea at its foothills, the range reaches from 250 to 344 meters above it.
Paragliding school "Breeze" in the Crimea has been working for more than 10 years – in fact it is the first paragliding school in Ukraine. During this time, the school has trained more than 1,000 paragliding students, has accumulated a huge positive experience and developed and improved stable methods of teaching. Paragliding club "Breeze" is located on Mount Klementieva (range Uzun Syrt) in the Crimea peninsula. This place is the center of paragliding and hang gliding in Ukraine. You can take their lessons, fly tandem with them or just get some advice.
Breeze founder facts
Sergey Zhukarin is founder and president of the Paragliding Club "Breeze", one of the most experienced and renowned Ukrainian paragliders. Sergey is member of the Presidium of Paragliding Federation of Ukraine, a pilot instructor of the Paragliding Federation of Ukraine. He is also Ukrainian Master of Sports of Paragliding and Champion of Ukraine in 1999. The winner of the tournament, „Koktebel“ in years 1992, 2003 and 2004, "Grand Slam-1995", "1998 Cup Dniester", winner of the Championship of Ukraine, the CIS Cup and other international tournaments.
Paragliding school is open from April to November at Mount Klementieva in Crimea directly above the Koktobel village. Koktebel - unique from the point of view of soaring flight place, which attracts paragliders from all over Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and other European countries.
