The Hong Kong-based World Wingsuit League (WWL) teamed up with World BASE Race (WBR) summer events in Norway to scout wingsuit pilots for the WWL Grand Prix this autumn in China. The WBR qualifying race was held on July 4 - 6 in Hellesylt, followed by the WBR final on July 10 - 11 in Åndalsnes. The best pilots who qualified for the Grand Prix will compete on September 14 - 15, 2014 in Zhangjiajie, China, for the chance to race in the big final taking place on September 20 - 21 for $50,000 USD in prize money and the prestigious recognition as “the world’s fastest athlete.”
