Skydive Chicago - True Skydiving Training and Recreation Center
Skydive Chicago Airport has been open to public since 1998 catering for any need a skydiver might need. Located just off Interstate 80 in Ottawa, IL, SDC is a 220 acre private playground equipped with some of the most world-class skydiving amenities available. Run by Rook Nelson, a veteran of 21,000 jumps, 4 World Champions and 24 Nationals titles, he and co offer thrilling jumps out of their large fleet of 3 Supper Otters, turbine powered aircrafts that seats 23 people, as well as 2 Cessna Caravans that can take 16 jumpers to 13,000 feet in 17 minutes. All planes are well maintained and SDC even upgraded the Supper Otters to the largest engines which means more airtime for you!

SDC offer professional services for everyone, whether you're looking to do your first jump or have 1000s under your belt, you'll be freefalling for 60 seconds hitting speeds of up to 120 MPH in no time. The 230-acre complex contains a large hangar that provides 15,000 square feet of shade and shelter adjoining 22,500 square feet of classrooms and recreation centers. On top of that, SDC play host to some of the greatest boogies and events in the skydiving industry such as SummerFest, the USPA National Championships of Skydiving or the upcoming World Meet 2016.

The DZ is open from Mid-March through early December from 9am to 5pm and from 8am to sunsets on weekends. If you are certified, the Jump Ticket fee is 25 bucks, the area also offer camping space, gear store and rentals, cabin rentals, free WiFi, volleyball or Tiki Hut and SkyLounge Bar where you can enjoy movies or a club-type party at night.
