With only a handful of other cableways in the US and none in Texas, this experience is truly on the edge. The cableway tows up to 6 wakeboarders, skiers, or kneeboarders at the same time with ropes attached to a circulating cable that is high above the water without the assistance of a boat. Private hourly cable instruction is for individuals and small groups. This is personal instruction with TSR primary staff for all levels of skiers and wakeboarders. Instructors will teach beginning students multiple ways of starting and how to successfully complete the cable course going over basic skills. For the more advance wakeboarders the instructors will go over the techniques needed to complete tricks such as flips and air raileys. They can also instruct on use of obstacles on the lake such as the sliders and kickers. By taking advantage of Texas Ski Ranch cable lessons, you can insure getting the most out of your future trips to the cable.
TSR has also added a Little Bro cable by Rixen. This two tower inline system is ideal for beginners to learn. During the summer season TSR will utilize this lake exclusively for beginners. During the offseason we will load it up with rails for more advanced riders. The Rixen Little Bro is so versitile it is perfect for both.
To Get to TSR you first need to fly to capital of Texas - Austin
From Austin
Get to I-35 and Head South towards San Antonio. 3 miles south of the outlet mall take exit 195 (Watson Lane). Then cross over the interstate and continue south on the access road for about a 1/4 mile and TSR will be on your left.
From San Antonio
Get to I-35 and Head North towards Austin. Just north of New Braunfels, after you pass the Wal-Mart Distribution center on your right, take exit 193 (Kohlenberg/Conrad). Then stay on the access road for about a mile and TSR will be on your right.
