Wakeboarding El Gouna, Egypt
Cable Park El Gouna was built literally on a pile of sand as there was nothing but desert in the project´s site. Its construction was finished at the beginning of 2014 and from the start it was an „international“ idea of three investors from Poland, Germany and Egypt.
The entire Wakeboarding Park area consists of 90000 m2 and includes two spacious cables of both Orascom and Rixen, of which the counter-clockwise sports facility of 320 meters conform to the new Olympic standard. It comprises a selection of obstacles and a slalom course. The shorter, clockwise cable provides several different sliders and kickers.
Cable Park El Gouna - Sliders - is open all year round. The park has also its own pools, wellness, restaurant, beach club and equipment shop. It is fitted up with a suitable floodlight system for evening rides. Most of the staff speak English and perfectly assist both beginners and advanced. All equipment can be rented. Prices are reasonable, taking into account the quality of the complex, 35 EUR (48 USD) for a day pass (excluding equipment) is fine.
Adrex.com recommends the services of El Gouna Watersports Complex as highly professional. In cooperation with the world's best wake-parks-manufacturers, Sliders in El Gouna clearly ranks among the largest cable parks worldwide.
Cable Park El Gouna is located on the Red Sea, 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Hurghada. Address: El Gouna Cable Park, Sabina Area, El Gouna, Egypt; Tel. 002 0102 60 22226
