Rebeka Starkova – Team Czech Member
Rebeka has got all three events uniquely balanced but her greatest chance to make the team is slalom where she will try to round all six at 13-meter line. Tricks might be also something where Rebeka can possibly post a good score since there is quite a difference between training and competition performances. Right now she is training thoroughly to battle for her ticket to the first ever Open Europeans in the Czech Republic that are held in Melice.
Do you see your participation in the first-ever Open Europeans at home as your greatest challenge this year?
Yes it is a challenge and above all a great motivation for further training and performance enhancement.
Should you ski in the tournament, will you have any supporters on-site from your friends´ and classmates´ circles?
I have invited my friends so I hope they will not let me down and come see the championships.
How was your winter preparatory period?
This Winter I had a membership paid in one gym that I attended almost on a daily basis most of the time doing workouts with the help of the hanging system TRX. I was very enthusiastic about this one.
When did you start skiing in this season?
Thanks to relatively warm weather I started skiing already in March.
What are your performance goals for the upcoming season?
As every year I would like to step the game up at least by a little chunk and most of all my focal point will be jumps due to the fact that in the last season I began to enjoy them the most.
Your standpoint regarding the chances of Czech team?
I believe that Czech team will shine.
How do you see your chances at the Europeans?
Honestly, not too great.
What would you like us to say to fans, spectators and the public who are considering to come watch the event?
Tell them not to be in two minds and to come watch, it will be an unforgettable experience.
