At HappyRaft base you have two great whitewater rafting adventures to choose from. While the half-day Oboke trip offers a great introduction to rafting, the full-day Koboke trip is truly a world-class rafting run, and their most popular tour. Koboke is Japan´s must-do for adventure-lovers. It is a great way to refresh, relax and immerse yourself in the beauty of the river. It boasts big challenging grade 4 rapids, breath-taking scenery, crystal-clear pools and includes all the ingredients for an incredible river adventure.
The Happy Raft base is located on a beautiful bend of the Yoshino River at Iwahara, Ootoyo-cho, right in the the middle of Shikoku, just inside Kochi-ken, maybe 2 minutes drive upstream from the border with Tokushima-ken. A train station, JR Tosa-Iwahara, is right next door, so it’s easy to reach it by train. If you’re driving, it takes around 4 hours from Osaka, 3 hours from Kobe, or 2 hours from Okayama or Tokushima city. The base is a great place to hang out, picnic, barbeque or camp, so you can really make a trip of it when you come down for some rafting or canyoning. Guides are fully-licensed, internationally-experienced professionals whose training ensures your day will be safe and fun.
