Noguera Pallaresa Freestyle in Sort – Adrex.com Paddling Tip for the Weekend
The city of Sort in collaboration with the Associació Esportiva Pallars, Catalan and Spanish federation and Rocroi want to make a come back on the international scene. After many European and world experience freestyle competition from 2001 to 2004, The city of Sort is about to organise a great white water event on the famous Noguera Pallaresa river for it’s 50th anniversary of the kayak festival. The 146 kms of river offer a multitude of kayak activity and white water experience for people who love nature.
The International Freestyle competition is being held in Sort on July 25-28, 2013 .
The organisers are delighted to see the amount snow on the mountains and ensure this is necessary, a dam realise has been organised to get a perfect water level. The main part two days of qualification and final will take place during the upcoming weekend, by night in front of thousands of spectators. Some free clinics and training days with the Catalan/Spanish Team. Every day will be on SportScene video and streaming on live coverage. The competition will be referee by Terry Best with a new computer system NOC world in order to prepare and adapt as best as possible before the kayak freestyle world championships in the States. 7000€ of price money to share between male and female riders !
