Apnea Depth Games 2014 - Freediving Competition in Sunny Cyprus
AIDA Cyprus was founded on the 1st of January 2005 in Limassol, Cyprus and have been aiming to represent project in the third largest and third most populous island in the Mediterranean in local and international freediving events ever since. With the Cyprus Summer Games 2014 behind, where the final selection of the national team that will represent Cyprus in World championship in Sardinia, Italy next September was formed, preparation for the annual Apnea Depth Games are underway. The competition start already this Sunday, 12th October, in the beautiful city of Limassol.
AIDA Cyprus is proud to announce its annual freediving competition 2014 this upcoming Sunday in the open sea of Limassol at 9:00am. The games are taking place under the lead of AIDA international and AIDA Cyprus and as always, the participation is high, local divers will gather from all over Cyprus as well as international athletes participating and making the event even more interesting.

On February 23, 2021, the Czech freediver David Vencl will try to beat the Guinness World Record and set a world record in the Pure Apnea association in under-ice swim without a wetsuit and in the most difficult conditions – i.e. without the cap and weights that freedivers are used to.
